It’s a super pleasant ride or walk along the Cape Cod Rail Trail—grab a bike or take a stroll and you’ll be there in no time. When we’re in the mood for smoky, slow-cooked barbecue, Red River BBQ always hits the spot. Their brisket is tender, the ribs are full of flavor, and the pulled pork sandwich is a crowd-pleaser. Our go-to move? Grab takeout and head to Red River Beach for a laid-back dinner picnic by the water. Good food, ocean breeze—what more could you want?

Mac’s Chatham Fish & Lobster – Quintessential Cape Seafood
Mac’s is everything you want in a Cape Cod seafood spot—fresh, unfussy, and right next to its own fish market. Whether you eat in or grab takeout to enjoy on our deck, the quality is always spot on. We’re big fans of the raw bar (oysters are a must), the tuna poke, and of course, the lobster rolls. It’s classic Cape seafood done right.

Mad Minnow – Elevated Eats Without the Fuss
Mad Minnow nails that perfect balance between creative and casual. The menu is full of fresh, locally sourced ingredients turned into inventive (but totally approachable) dishes. Bonus: their outdoor seating area is one of our favorites—always lively, with a great vibe and string lights that make it feel extra special on warm Cape evenings. Ideal for date night or a relaxed dinner with friends.

Perks Coffee Shop & Beer Garden – Chill Central
This spot has serious “kick back and stay awhile” energy. Perks is great for a morning latte or an afternoon craft beer, and the outdoor seating makes it a perfect hangout on warm Cape days. Whether you’re fueling up or winding down, it hits the mark every time

Just a few towns over in Brewster, The Pheasant is where we go when we’re feeling a little fancy. The wine list is amazing, the food is thoughtfully done, and the whole place has that rustic-chic charm. Great for celebrations—or just because you want a great glass of wine and a killer meal.

Clean Slate (Dennis) – Tiny Spot, Big Flavors
Clean Slate is one of those rare finds that feels like a secret worth sharing. With just a handful of tables and a chef-run kitchen, this intimate spot delivers one of the best tasting menu experiences we’ve had on the Cape—thoughtful, beautifully plated, and full of surprising flavor combinations. It’s elevated dining without the pretension, and honestly, a great value for the quality. Book ahead—it fills up fast!
